When confirming, PIA asks for your passport details for international flights: number, nationality, expiry date, and depending on the destination, the visa or travel authorisation. A mismatch between the name on the ticket and the one on the passport blocks the process and requires a counter visit.

Your PIA boarding pass
Once check-in is confirmed, the boarding pass is sent by email as a PDF or appears in the app. You can print it or show it on screen. Note: not every airport served by PIA accepts the mobile version at checkpoints, and several stops on the network still require the paper document. If in doubt, print it.
The boarding pass shows the flight number, gate, boarding deadline and assigned seat. The gate number can change after it is issued: airport screens take priority over what is printed.
Even after checking in online, a travel document check remains necessary for most PIA international flights. Go to an airline counter or a bag drop desk to have your passport, visa and, where required, entry documents for the destination country verified.
Baggage and getting through the airport
