Peach Aviation Boarding Pass and Check-in Times

For a domestic flight, the airport counter and kiosks accept check-in from 90 minutes before departure, and it closes 30 minutes before departure. Past this point, boarding is refused: Peach does not reopen the desk for a late passenger.

On international flights, the airline states a wider window in its public information, roughly 120 to 50 minutes before departure. Depending on the airport, check-in may also open earlier than the published time: the airline's airport guide details each case.

Check-in through the Peach app opens earlier than at the kiosks, generally 120 minutes before departure for domestic flights. Allow plenty of time: the airline itself advises against waiting until the last moment, as security screening can get busy.

The official Peach app offers online check-in for domestic flights and issues the boarding pass directly on the phone. It is not mandatory; check-in can also be done via a self-service kiosk at the airport.

An Auto Check-in feature is available only in the app: it can be activated up to 48 hours before departure and carries out check-in 120 minutes before the scheduled time, with a push notification. Points to know before activating it:

• it applies to domestic flights only;
• it is not available for an international booking, a booking made through a travel agency, an unpaid booking, a booking requiring special assistance (a wheelchair, for example) or one not linked to a Peach account;
• if activated, flight changes, cancellations and adding checked baggage close as early as 150 minutes before departure;
• without a pre-selected seat, one is assigned automatically and can no longer be changed once check-in has taken place;
• in case of a significant delay or cancellation, Auto Check-in is cancelled and standard check-in must then be completed during opening hours.

Self-service kiosks at Japanese airports remain the main option for travellers who do not use the app or who are flying internationally. At Narita, for instance, the Peach kiosks are located in Terminal 1, South Wing, on the 1st floor, not in Terminal 3.

To start check-in, have the QR code from your itinerary or your six-character booking reference ready. A ticket is required to board a Peach flight.

The boarding pass comes either as a paper copy printed at the kiosk or as a digital version in the Peach app. It is required at checked baggage drop-off, then at security screening and at the gate.

Regarding identity documents, an identity check may be requested during check-in, depending on the case. For an international flight to or from Japan, your passport and, where applicable, visa or entry authorisation remain your own responsibility.

Note: seat selection is a paid option, to be settled in advance, and it is no longer possible to choose a seat at check-in. The airline states that advance selection remains open until 3 hours before the departure time shown on the itinerary.

Cabin baggage accepted by Peach must respect a combined total of three dimensions of 115 cm and a total weight of 7 kg. Beyond either of these limits, the bag must travel as checked baggage.

Checked baggage is purchased separately, and the airline applies a better rate when bought online in advance. Adding checked baggage online remains possible up to 1 hour before departure according to the airline, but this deadline drops to 150 minutes if Auto Check-in has been activated.

Baggage drop closes 30 minutes before departure on domestic flights, at the same time as check-in: arriving 35 minutes before departure with a bag to check in leaves very little margin. The boarding pass is required to drop off a bag. At Narita, passengers who are already checked in print their baggage tag at the Peach BAGGAGE TAG KIOSK before heading to baggage drop.

Knives, batteries and other dangerous items are subject to restrictions both in the cabin and in the hold: check the list before you travel.

The most sensitive point with Peach is the strictness of its schedules. If you arrive after the cut-off, boarding is no longer permitted, and the options for changes or refunds then depend on the type of fare purchased.

If Auto Check-in did not go through (failure notification, heavily delayed or cancelled flight), standard check-in must be completed again during opening hours, either in the app or at a kiosk. Activation only applies to the flight requested: each leg of a round trip or a multi-stop journey is handled separately.

Booking made through a travel agency: app check-in is not available and changes go through the agency. Passengers requiring assistance (a wheelchair, for instance): notify the Peach contact centre in advance and report to the check-in counter 60 minutes before departure. Pregnant travellers and passengers travelling with children under two benefit from priority boarding as soon as the aircraft is ready.
