Cebu Pacific Online Check-In: Schedule, Boarding Pass and Airport Steps

Cebu Pacific (code CEB) operates most of the Philippines' domestic routes and a regional network across Asia, together with its affiliates Cebgo and AirSWIFT. Online check-in opens 48 hours before departure and closes well ahead of boarding, with different cutoffs depending on whether the flight is domestic or international. This page brings together the deadlines, how to get your digital boarding pass, and the cases where a counter visit is still required.

When Cebu Pacific check-in opens and closes

Online check-in opens 48 hours before departure, for both domestic and international flights. Closing times, however, are not the same everywhere: according to the airline's published information, the online window closes 1 hour before departure on domestic flights and 2 hours before on international flights.

At airport counters, closing takes place 1 hour before departure on international flights. Counter opening and closing times can vary from one airport to another: check the exact time shown on your booking and allow extra time, as Philippine terminals are often busy during peak hours.

Checking in online, on the website and the CEB app

Two paths lead to the same result: the check-in page on the airline's official website and the Cebu Pacific mobile app, which lets you download the digital boarding pass. On the website, check-in sits under the Manage menu, in the Check-in section.

To pull up your booking, either log into the MyCebuPacific account linked to the reservation, or use the retrieval page with the 6-digit booking reference and the surname of one passenger (the email address on file also works). Your Go Rewards number can be entered at this stage.

Before confirming, two checks matter for international flights: any visa or transit visa that may be required, and the passport, since the airline asks for a passport valid for at least six (6) months after the planned travel date.

Online check-in is not open to everyone. According to the airline, the following are directed to the counter instead: unaccompanied minors (under 18), passengers needing mobility or medical assistance or who have made a special travel request, group bookings of more than 20 passengers, records with an unpaid balance, tax-exempt passengers (OFWs, for example), and those who have not yet chosen an option following a flight disruption.

Getting and presenting your boarding pass

Once check-in is confirmed, the digital boarding pass appears and can be saved. It stays accessible later through Manage Booking or the app.

Sometimes the boarding pass doesn't arrive immediately after online check-in: the airline notes this can be due to visa rules requiring verification by its staff. In that case, a visit to the airport counter is necessary.

Departing from NAIA Terminal 3 in Manila, access is through Gates 5 and 6, then on to the check-in kiosks located between Aisles A and B. Without checked baggage, you head straight to security and immigration; with baggage, self-service bag drop kiosks are in Aisle A. Kiosks must be used before counter closing time.

Baggage and documents at check-in

Check-in is only one step: baggage and documents are verified afterward. The standard carry-on baggage allowance is 7 kg. For a musical instrument or a religious item carried in the cabin, the airline states a size limit of 56cm x 36cm x 23cm cm, with the item counted within this allowance. Checked baggage is purchased separately on Cebu Pacific fares, and the free allowance depends on what was booked on your record. Special baggage (sports equipment, surfboards, oversized items) can be added up to 2 hours before the flight, via the app, for an extra fee.

As for batteries, the airline limits power banks to two per passenger, each capped at 100 Wh, carry-on only, with their use and charging prohibited throughout the flight. A check-in agent may ask you to surrender a battery that exceeds the capacity limit, has an illegible label, or is damaged.

Finally, check-in agents may examine and verify travel documents to confirm they meet the entry requirements of the destination, including in coordination with destination authorities, systems or travel partners. Keep your passport, any required visa, and entry documents accessible at the counter, even if check-in has already been completed online. If you'd rather not track the opening of check-in yourself, iBoardingPass can check you in on your behalf as soon as it opens and send your boarding pass by email.

Common issues and solutions

A few situations come up often among Cebu Pacific passengers:

  • Booking not found: sometimes the record first needs to be linked to the MyCebuPacific account, or you should double check the 6-digit reference and surname entered.
  • You've been "logged out" of your check-in: this happens after a flight change or a cancellation with CEB Flexi. If your flight is rebooked, check-in must be redone for the new schedule.
  • Error message during check-in: the airline advises checking your connection, logging into the account linked to the booking, and otherwise checking in at the airport.
  • Unpaid balance: settle this through Manage Booking before you're able to check in.
  • Booking made through an agency or a third-party platform: changes go through the agent or coordinator; some unauthorized platforms issue references that the airline's system doesn't recognize.
  • No boarding pass received: head to the airport counter, before the closing time.

How do I get my Cebu Pacific boarding pass?

After check-in is confirmed, the digital boarding pass appears and stays accessible through Manage Booking or the Cebu Pacific app. At the airport, check-in kiosks can also issue it.
